(Lacey, WA) – Nistevo Sport MFG, the world leader in skate technology and innovation, officially launched its highly anticipated Atom Whip iQ™ Wheels at the National Championships in Lincoln NE. Unveiled against the backdrop of the 2010 Indoor National Championships (the Formula One of inline skating), the incendiary new Whip iQ™ Series was the brightest shining star of the week. Comprised of a revolutionary new iQ™ material and nylon glass cores, the 2010/2011 Whip iQ™ establishes a new benchmark for flat track racing. This is clearly the fastest, most responsive & longest lasting flat track wheel ever made by Atom and the most dominant indoor wheel for 4 years running.
It didn't take long for iQ™ to establish its own winning legacy, breaking Nationals records in various divisions. The talk of iQ™ started three weeks prior to Nationals with skaters dropping between 2-3 tenths per lap. Times have not dropped like that since the introduction of 100mm wheels.

LUIGINO SHOES and AQUATECH™
At the crux of the new Thermafiber Technology is Luigino's latest shoe milestone, AquaTech™. “AquaTech™ is a game-changing material,” said Nistevo Sport MFG Product Manager Doug Glass. “Before this material’s culmination we had to use two, sometimes three different layers of carbon to get the same strength and performance that we get from just one layer of AquaTech™.”
Mr. Glass continued, “When compared to High Modulus carbon fiber, AquaTech™ exhibits virtually the same stiffness but over four times the strength and twice the elongation properties, enabling Luigino Shoes to be stronger, stiffer and, the most amazing quality of AquaTech™ is the ability to mold them in boiling water, ensuring a perfect fit. During the Indoor Nationals we demonstrated the AquaTech™ Heat-Molding Technology first hand and sold over 100 pair during the 5 day expo!”
Although Nistevo Sport MFG is the first skate company to utilize the technological advanced AquaTech™, it’s unlikely other skate manufacturers will soon follow suit. This material is proprietary and only works when combined with several components during the manufacturing process. Luigino's entire line up, with the exception of the Strut and Kid’s Adjustable Skate, consists of AquaTech™ and are all made exclusively at Luigino's production facility.
