'Colorado Clinic' by Michael Cheek Since 2004, I haven’t missed a single clinic in Colorado Springs; I feel like they’re a great way to learn and prepare you for Outdoor Nationals. These clinics are a great place to get loads of track time, learn from great coaches, and actually work out really hard. This year, our clinic leaders were Buggy Almond and Jay Ingram, along with a great cast of other coaches, everyone there learned so much. Along with the coaches, there was a group of World Class skaters who were all willing to give advice to anyone needing help. Colorado got hit with some pretty cold weather for this time of the year (well, it was cold for me!), but everyone was still super excited to learn. At this clinic I also got to get a sneak test of the new iQ wheels on the track. WOW! The iQ wheels grip better than anything I’ve ever felt on the Colorado Track. For a wheel to have that kind of grip and not lose any roll is unheard of before now. I promise, the first time you try this wheel you will see what I am talking about! Sincerely, your friend in speed skating, Michael Cheek
