FRAME TECHNOLOGY

It is common knowledge that solid block alloy doesn’t have the energy or return of extruded alloy.  Extruding alloy is similar to pushing cake frosting through a specific shape creating that perfect look, similar to creating a specific shape (extrusion) for an inline racing frame.  The shapes can be intricate or simple, depending on the engineering and design. Extremely hard alloys cannot be extruded with intricate details such as multiple voids or even single voids depending on how hard the alloy is.

7050 used in Luigino Fighter Pilot cannot be extruded with voids (hollow areas).  In order to reap benefits of 7050 alloy we extruded the bottom half, keeping the top half solid and removing the necessary materials by CNC.  This unique procedure allows for energy return and extraordinary rigidity.

7100 series alloy such as what is used in our Pilot frame can be extruded as double void as long as the voids are not to intricate.  Luigino utilized large voids without any complexity then incorporated Hollow-Technology to increase strength and reduce weight of the overall product.

▪ 6000 series alloy can be extruded in nearly any shape you desire. Creating elaborate frames is attractive however, should not be used for high-performance inline frames.   6000 alloy is best for kids and products used for general purposes.

1992
Years ahead of the competition, Ultimate frames redefined the way the world looks at high performance inline skate frames –  material relatively unknown to skating –7000 T6 extruded aluminum with full color sublimated graphics.
2006
Performance gets a new name when Luigino launches the Pilot, the inline frame built to help Joey Mantia continue his domination at the world championships.  Hollow-Tec, pushing the envelope of rigidity, control, and performance.
2009
Luigino changes the rules again with a new benchmark for total performance, FIGHER PILOT, compared to it, everything else is history.  Hybrid -Solid Extrusion Technology. The life of an extruded frame, the rigidity of a solid frame.

Z-Frame 4x90 - 165/195 Mounting

Luigino’s Z-Frame is the best choice money can buy.  Our double void extrusion is designed of thin walled construction reducing weight but expanded wall widths to increase strength. The Z-Frame performs regardless of your size or talent. 11.6 4x90
